An acquisition can go one of two ways in the media. It either gets buried under a hundred other funding headlines that week, or it becomes the story everyone in the industry is talking about. WiseOps had the second kind of story on their hands, they just needed someone to tell it right. That’s where MediagraphixPR stepped in.
What WiseOps Actually Does
Cloud bills have a habit of spiralling out of control the moment a company scales, and most teams don’t realise how much they’re overspending until the invoice lands. WiseOps built an AI-powered platform to fix exactly that problem. It digs into a company’s AWS usage and hands out over a hundred specific, one-click fixes across services like EC2, RDS and SageMaker. Two of its standout tools, Wise Tuner and Wise Scheduler, work quietly in the background to automate resource management, so teams save money without touching their existing workflows or slowing anything down.
The Challenge
WiseOps was about to be acquired by CloudKeeper, a major name in cloud cost optimization, and this wasn’t a deal they wanted to slip by quietly. They needed the acquisition to land as a genuine industry moment, not a passing mention buried in a roundup.
The brief we worked with had three clear priorities:
- Get the acquisition in front of the right audience. Not just any coverage, but visibility across the business and tech publications that actually influence buying decisions.
- Cement WiseOps as a serious name in AI-led AWS cost optimization, not just another player in a crowded FinOps space.
- Make the value proposition impossible to miss — a deep-tech platform delivering automated, actionable cloud savings, and not just another consulting promise.
How MediagraphixPR Made It Happen
We didn’t want this to read like a routine acquisition announcement, so we built the narrative around what actually made the deal interesting: WiseOps’ technology, the strategic logic behind CloudKeeper picking them up, and what it meant for the future of cloud cost management. It’s the kind of story that lives right inside the wider SaaS world too, cloud infrastructure tools like this one usually get reduced to a line item in a funding roundup, so getting real attention meant treating it like the genuine industry shift it actually was. The acquisition became the hook, but the story we told was about innovation and where the industry was headed next.
Within weeks of the campaign going live, we had secured coverage across 25+ top-tier outlets, including ET Edge, BW Disrupt and TechieExpert, among others. That kind of spread didn’t happen by chance. It came from placing the story with publications whose readers actually cared about cloud infrastructure and cost engineering, which is exactly why the news carried weight instead of just noise.
The Press Release
WiseOps acquired by CloudKeeper in a mix of equity and cash to enhance cloud cost optimization offerings
WiseOps, a platform built specifically around AWS cost and usage optimization, has been acquired by CloudKeeper, a name well established in comprehensive cloud cost optimization services. Terms weren’t disclosed, though the deal closed as a mix of equity and cash, and for WiseOps it marks real progress toward its goal of changing how businesses everywhere manage what they spend on the cloud.
The company had previously raised an undisclosed pre-seed round from CORE91.VC back in December 2023. Since then, its customer base has grown to 50 clients, and revenue has crossed $100,000 to date.
WiseOps earned its reputation in AWS cost optimization through AI-driven recommendations and automation that let teams cut cloud spend meaningfully without sacrificing performance or disrupting how they already work. With WiseOps’ tools now folded into CloudKeeper’s broader platform, clients get something closer to a genuinely end-to-end optimization solution, one built to deliver stronger savings and smoother workflows at the same time.
“This represents a significant opportunity for both WiseOps and CloudKeeper to drive innovation and deliver exceptional value,” said Ronak Goyal, Co-founder of WiseOps. “We look forward to integrating our technologies and expertise to offer even more powerful solutions for cloud cost optimization.”
Praneet Chandra, Co-founder of WiseOps, reflected on how the company got here: “Fifteen months ago, Ronak and I founded WiseOps in response to companies struggling with rising costs and cloud infrastructure challenges, leading to layoffs. Our journey began with our first customer, where we reduced their cloud bill by 50%.”
“WiseOps was the missing piece of the puzzle,” said Deepak Mittal, Co-founder and CEO of CloudKeeper. “By joining forces with them, CloudKeeper has become a truly comprehensive cloud cost optimization solution. It will enable us to cater to a broader range of clients, address more complex use cases, and help businesses optimize and engineer their cloud environments more effectively.”
Bringing WiseOps and CloudKeeper together sets up what’s next for cloud cost efficiency at scale, giving businesses everywhere access to a level of value and innovation neither company could offer entirely on its own.
About WiseOps
WiseOps was never trying to compete with the usual DevOps consultants and managed service providers. It went after a much harder problem: most of these traditional players simply don’t have the bandwidth to fully execute the optimization recommendations they hand out. WiseOps closes that gap with something closer to a Grammarly for AWS, a tool that lives right inside the console and gives teams a real-time visibility dashboard along with a performance score. The result speaks for itself: 25 to 40 percent cost optimization, delivered in a fraction of the time a traditional consulting engagement would take. Deals like this one are exactly why funding and acquisition announcements need more than a standard press release, the story behind the number usually matters more than the number itself.
